A day in Lisbon

A day in Lisbon

Hi all my readers, it's been a while! <3

I came to Lisbon last week and will stay until the end of March. I'm looking forward to many walks up and down all the hills in the city.
I had a lovely day last Saturday, let's see what I did!

We live in a neighbourhood called Campo de Ourique, which is in the northwest part of Lisbon.
Our destination for the day was the tourist-famous LX Market.

We stopped by the cafe Melbourne Elouera for some coffee, juice, croissant and banana bread. Everything was OK but nothing mindblowing.

When we started hearing a lot of chicken noises, we followed the sound and ended up in a very run-down and desolate park—Park Necessidades.

A dome. It must have been very beautiful at some point.

And we arrived! It's a typical old factory turned into a cool shopping and bar area— the kind of place you can find almost anywhere these days.

But it wasn't bad, we saw some interesting stalls with cute things.

Like these fish glasses. I loudly said I wish I would get them for my birthday next month—hope someone heard me!

On our way back we passed through the Prazeres Cemetery just as the local cats were having their weekly congress meeting.

A photo taken from the cemetery showing the Ponte 25 de Abril, a bridge that is a copy of the famous San Fransisco one, unless Alex lied to me.

Later in the evening we went to Mercado de Campo de Ourique, a local food market with different restaurants and stuff inside. I forgot to take a photo but I'm sure I'll go back there very soon.
